Community Rail Officer Sussex Downs Line
Would you like to do great things in the community to connect people to their railway?
A self-motivated and competent person is required for this interesting, challenging, and exciting role. You will work on the Seaford to Brighton Line, supporting the work of the steering group. You will continue to develop projects and engage the local community, gain funding for projects, handle marketing and communications and support station adoption groups. You will also help to develop Try a Train trips, encouraging marginalised groups to travel by train.
We require a self-motivated person with a proven record in working with and inspiring people, excellent project management and communication skills, experience of working with partners and community engagement, and an interest in sustainable transport.
In return, we offer a flexible working environment working mainly from home and visiting stations, a train travel pass for duty purposes, a small but dedicated team atmosphere and generous holiday allowance. Successful applicants would primarily be required to work core daytime hours but there may be a need to work the occasional evening and weekend.
