Summary
We are looking for a Multimedia Graphic & Animation Designer to create engaging and on-brand graphics for various media. You are confident in a graphic designer role, working on a variety of creative assets ranging from product pack shots, mood shots, videos, online tutorials, packaging, and POS materials. You will be a critical thinker who is dynamic and positive; your ideas and initiatives will contribute to the success of the team and the company. Photography, filming, video and image editing are key skills for this role. You will be a content creator for the brand in order to feed our social media channels and website especially!
You have a strong portfolio of illustrations and are familiar with the Adobe Creative Suite. You have a keen eye for aesthetics and details and excellent communication skills. You will be the ambassador of Daler-Rowney’s image and brand worldwide.
Responsibilities
As a Multimedia Graphic & Animation Designer, the scope of this role includes, but is not limited to, the duties described below:
1. Creating content every day! Finding the content opportunities daily (in our factory, in our studio, with artists, on your own…) to feed our social media channels and websites, especially with fresh content (image, video…).
2. Managing the yearly content planning.
3. Establishing creative direction for the company as well as brand guidelines.
4. Designing and developing concepts for web pages, brochures, catalogues, packaging, POS materials, advertisements, and other communication materials.
5. Conceptualising visuals based on requirements.
6. Prioritising and managing multiple projects within design specifications and budget restrictions.
7. Performing retouching and manipulation of images.
8. Testing graphics across various media.
9. Reviewing final layouts and suggesting improvements if required.
10. Liaising with external printers on a regular basis to ensure deadlines are met and material is printed to the highest quality.
11. Managing artists, freelancers and agencies.
12. Ensuring final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand.
13. Managing your in-house photo studio for optimised performance.
14. Working cross-functionally, liaising with sales, trade marketing executives, product managers, brand managers and communication managers.
