Average of 42 hrs per week Worked on a 3 on; 3 off nightshift We are currently seeking an Engineer for our 3 on; 3 off nightshift. This role will be responsible for providing an effective engineering and maintenance support to the manufacturing function. Successful applicants will take responsibility for the quality and effectiveness of maintenance engineering activities and will carry out planned and preventative maintenance of plant and equipment within the production areas to optimise plant availability. Main responsibilities of the role include (but are not limited to): Ensuring that safe working practices are used at all times; Providing engineering breakdown support for the shift production teams ensuring operational downtime is kept to a minimum; Adopting root cause analysis tools to support one-time fix solutions for repeat failures; Ensuring assets are fit for use and in line with Health & Safety policies and procedures; Assisting as part of the maintenance team in identifying cost saving opportunities through energy, maintenance & material streams; Ensuring that the maintenance paperwork is kept up to date for all site works; Support in developing preventative maintenance programs and improvements to support asset reliability; Ensuring clear and effective communications with internal customer group, manufacturers, key service providers and engineering team colleagues.· The ideal candidate will: Have experience of maintenance engineering within an environment of high-speed production equipment; Hold a formal engineering qualification at level 3 or above in either an electrical or mechanical discipline, or equivalent qualification; Current or previous licence holder for MEWP/ FLT Experience with plastics moulding/extrusion is desirable for this role, as are PLC experience in fault diagnosis/programming and completion of 17th Edition training
