Main duties of the job
The post holder will be a committed experienced clinician who is caring and compassionate. Acting within their professional boundaries, to provide care for our patients from initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and prescribing. They will demonstrate safe, competent clinical decision-making, critical thinking and expert care, including assessment and diagnostic skills, for patients within the general practice. They will communicate and work collaboratively with the general practice team to meet the needs of patients, supporting the delivery of policy and procedures.
About us
We are a very friendly practice with a vision for innovative development working together across two sites, we have a patient population of just under 17,000. The practice has exceptional staff retention among their existing clinical and non-clinical team. We have a strong Multi-Disciplinary Team via the PCN including Home Visiting Team, First Contact Physios and Health & Well being coaches.
The surgery offers an incredible friendly atmosphere to work in, with an open-door policy and regular meetings with the multi-disciplinary team and the practice team to share best practice and provide support.
Everyone has an opportunity to voice opinions as to how the practice could be improved and the development of new services.
Our Patient Support Teams are highly organised and are implementing additional workflow management systems to reduce the administrative burden for everyone.
Job responsibilities
The post holder will be a committed experienced nurse, paramedic or ACP who is caring and compassionate.
The post holder will work within core hours of the Practice providing face to face and telephone appointments.
The post holder will be providing support to the GPs with signing prescriptions and filing lab results.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* Registered first level nurse MSc or equivalent
* Independent prescriber
* Clinical supervision training and experience
Experience
* Recent primary and community experience
* Management of minor illness, minor ailments and injuries (All ages)
* Prescribing
* Long Term Conditions
* Experience of completing audits
* Working with community development initiatives
* Supporting QOF
