A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Engineer to join us on a prestigious contract in the City of London. This is a Monday - Friday opportunity working 08:00-17:00.

Purpose:
As a Mechanical Engineer at Smart Managed Solutions, you will be responsible for ensuring all environmental conditions and building systems are maintained to the highest standard throughout.
Your responsibilities will include carrying out PPM tasks and reactive and breakdown works to all Mechanical systems within the site. Engineers must demonstrate relevant knowledge of Plumbing, HVAC, Hot & Cold-Water Systems & Generators, which will include the ability to fault find using the production of graphical information and the utilization of current alarm data. Basic electrical knowledge would be desirable.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
* Ensure that routine PPM is carried out to all mechanical plant in accordance with Site task schedules and asset lists.
* Ensure that reactive tasks throughout the building are completed and proactively highlight areas for improvement.
* Swiftly remedy plant faults and defects to maintain plant in serviceable order at all times.
* Ensure suitable spares are available for maintenance and reactive works, providing parts lists and estimated timescales for remedial works.
* Complete all relevant paperwork regarding reactive and breakdown works and pass it without delay to the contract administrator.
* Prepare and utilize Method Statements and Risk Assessments for all tasks to ensure safe working practices.
* Develop a good working relationship with all members of Smart Managed Solutions staff, subcontractors, and client representatives.
* Provide a safe and healthy working environment, including wearing uniform and PPE.
* Present the professional image of Smart Managed Solutions to clients.
* Ensure all plant rooms under the responsibility of Smart Managed Solutions are locked and kept in a clean and tidy condition.
* Supervise and monitor subcontractors' works while they are on site undertaking maintenance.
* Ensure assigned tasks are actioned and completed appropriately.
* Complete tasks as directed with appropriate H&S awareness/implementation.
* Ensure awareness and compliance with contractual KPI’s/SLA’s.
* Maintain the Computer Based Maintenance system (e.g., Maximo) up to date, ensuring PPM and reactive tickets are closed out with accurate data captured.
* Operate a Permit to Work System in accordance with Smart Managed Solutions Quality, Health & Safety procedures and client requirements.
Education and Training:
* Formally trained in a mechanical engineering discipline (e.g., HVAC, Plumbing) to City and Guilds Level 3 or NVQ Level 2.
