You will also be responsible for implementing effective engineering processes, technologies, and policies for sustainable growth. Lead on strategic alignment, collaborating closely with the CTO on engineering strategy. Together, you will translate objectives into actionable plans, ensuring that our engineering efforts align with Tillo's overarching goals. Provide technical oversight, offering guidance, staying current with industry trends, and ensuring best practices in architecture and technical direction. Effectively allocate resources, managing budgets, and developing top engineering talent. Be a Tillo representative, at industry events helping to grow our brand within the community. Collaborate, forging strong relationships with business counterparts, understanding their needs, and sharing ownership of outcomes. Educate, you'll share your expertise to educate and up-skill stakeholders and fellow engineering leaders. About You You're a proven leader, with significant experience managing a cross-functional, scaling engineering department and attracting top talent. You've got a strong product mindset and customer understanding. You've built a culture of speed and urgency in a scale-up: You know how to achieve pace without compromising quality and implement the right processes. You don't shy away from tough conversations: You challenge your team and make difficult decisions when necessary. While valuing your teams' and stakeholders' input, you understand consensus is only sometimes possible. You weigh various factors, consider different perspectives, and make decisions that benefit the customer, company, and team.
