What you will do in your working day
On a daily basis you’ll work within our Central Support Office where you will learn to:
* Provide full administrative support to the Procurement Manager and other key stakeholders
* Become skilled in the use of our new Source to Pay platform, Coupa, and other relevant IT packages and systems
* Understand and implement internal procurement and finance processes and procedures
* Build an in-depth administrative knowledge of procurement activities to enhance your ability to support internal customers and suppliers.
* Communicate with suppliers on the telephone, via email and in response to Coupa supplier portal requests
* Effectively deal with procurement-based queries, providing an efficient service supported by effective communication and the ability to produce accurate documentation
* Build excellent working relationships with suppliers, learning to understand their business needs and requirements
* Engage with a wide range of internal customers throughout a large-scale organisation, providing information and working with their preferred suppliers
* Develop the ability to recommend suppliers and provide solutions to procurement-based issues, answering questions and ensuring a comprehensive and effective customer experience every time
* Become an ambassador for our “Customer First” culture, resolving any issues quickly and keeping your customers informed, so that they feel truly valued
* Expand your team working skills with your colleagues and the wider Sunbelt Rentals team
* Manage a varied workday in a fast-paced support office environment, learning to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
The training you will be getting
You will be completing a Procurement Fast-Track Apprenticeship programme to achieve the level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship whilst developing workplace knowledge and gaining experience in an operational procurement role.
The training will be delivered remotely, and you will attend weekly online sessions which will be completed from the workplace.
What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship
Following successful completion of your level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship you will be enrolled on a level 4 Commercial Procurement and Supply Apprenticeship.
On completion of both programmes you will be offered a permanent role with one of the best rental equipment providers in the industry. The size and scope of Sunbelt Rentals afford a wealth of opportunity for future progression.
