We are currently seeking a registered Pharmacy Technician to work onsite within the General Practices across the Oxford area. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone looking to expand their experience and gain new knowledge in a clinical setting.
You will be supported by a national network of pharmacists and technicians who are undertaking the same journey remotely and working on-site.
Main duties of the job
In recognition of the important role pharmacy technicians can play in general practice, we are seeking a professional pharmacy technician who can support the GP practice with general day-to-day workstreams, which may include the following:
* Undertake medicine reconciliations of patient records
* Prescribing in line with the practice protocols
* Update patient records, support medicine reviews, and synchronization for groups of patients (e.g., care homes)
* Help patients to get the best from their medicines by switching medications to agreed and approved protocols
* Carry out prescribing audits and medicines safety alerts
* Support with Medication Reviews

Job responsibilities
To join our team, ideally, you should have a minimum of 6 months of experience working in a general practice as a registered pharmacy technician. You must have a relevant degree/qualification to show you are a registered technician. You will be a highly focused and motivated individual ready to work within a professional team representing our company. You must live locally to the Oxford area and be willing to travel to the allocated practice.
