Teaching Personnel have an exciting opportunity to work with a secondary and sixth form school based in Orpington.
Main Areas of Responsibility
* Implement and deliver an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for students and support a designated curriculum area as appropriate.
* Monitor and support the overall progress and development of students as a teacher/form tutor.
* Facilitate and encourage a learning experience that provides students with the opportunity to achieve their individual potential.
* Contribute to raising standards of student attainment.
* Share and support the academy's responsibility to provide and monitor opportunities for personal and academic growth.
* Engage in operational and strategic planning, including lesson planning, developing resources and syllabuses, and contributing to the departmental plan.
* Curriculum planning.
* Staff development, including continuing professional development and engaging fully in the Performance Management Review process.
Qualifications & Experience
* Hold QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant undergraduate degree, and ideally, management training.
* Demonstrate successful teaching of GCSE at good or better level.
* Experience in initiation and effective management of change.
* Show evidence of raising achievement in present post and demonstrating good value added for groups.
* Knowledge of National curriculum requirements at KS3, KS4 and KS5.
* Good knowledge and understanding of current educational thinking.
* Good communication skills in speech and writing.
* Excellent organisational skills.
* Ability to build and sustain professional standards and relationships with students.
* Contribute towards creating a safe and protective environment.
* Understand the importance of having high expectations for all students, both of behaviour and academic achievement.
* Understand inclusive provision and practices, which offer equality of access to the curriculum for all students, including special educational needs, English as an additional language, and high achievers.
