For the last 20 years, Three Shires has developed long-standing relationships with the UK’s leading House Builders, Construction Contractors, Civil Engineers, Developers, Environmental and Ecological Consultants. Our services include Ecological, Vegetation Clearance, Invasive Weed, Tree Protection, Site Hoarding, and Security Fencing; we also undertake all other aspects of site enablement.
We are looking to recruit a Construction Manager.
Construction Manager Role:
1. Assist in the provision of a safe, efficient, and cost-effective service stream on all areas of service delivery ensuring the highest quality of work is provided in the timescales determined by the contract.
2. Develop site specific plans with Senior Management and continually review, implement, monitor, and enforce procedures.
3. Daily liaison with the site team to ensure daily tasks are communicated at site level.
4. Review method statements and risk assessments to ensure compliance with company procedures.
5. Issue correct notices and relevant contractual correspondence to clients and sub-contractors at the appropriate time.
6. Instigate, control, and run projects from contract award to handover within budgetary constraints.
7. Discharge Health and Safety responsibilities in accordance with company Health and Safety and Environment Management System requirements.
8. Maintain accurate site diaries for all activities and highlight any risk items to the appropriate manager.
9. Control and monitor all works for subcontractors.
10. Selecting and ordering all required tools and materials (when required).
11. Oversee all site activities and monitor progress against the programme taking remedial action where appropriate whilst always protecting the company's contractual position.
12. Assisting with the tendering process for new projects.
13. Respond efficiently and effectively to work delays, emergencies, and other project disruptions.
14. Role is office and site located.
The successful Contract/Project Manager will need to have:
1. Minimum of SMSTS.
2. Level 3 NVQ.
3. IOSH.
4. Ability to take ownership and solve problems and implement actions.
5. Good IT skills.
6. Strong technical knowledge.
