We're looking for a Trade Compliance Manager - UK Remote or Hybrid in Cambridge/Reading The Trade Compliance Manager (UK) is responsible for oversight and execution of the Global Trade Compliance program in the UK and EU and for ensuring all import and export activity in the UK and EU is conducted in accordance with law, regulation, and company policy. This role may expand to include responsibilities that may be new to the Trade Compliance Manager (UK). - Develop and implement policies, standards, and procedures in alignment with the Global Trade Compliance Policy to ensure trade compliance under UK and EU regulations. - Oversee program controls related to the export of products (software and hardware) out of the UK and EU (e.g., licensing, sanctions compliance, KYC checks). - Assist with the review, validation, and documentation of export classification codes used by Entrust. - Facilitate exports from the UK and EU, including oversight of application of licenses for controlled products and submission of export filings in the UK and EU. - Serve as Entrust's liaison with HMRC and ECJU as well as relevant export authorities in the EU. - Advise on import regulations in the UK and EU and partner with Trade Operations to ensure regulatory compliance with customs entries. - Complete required export filings and/or audit third-party filings made on Entrust's behalf. - Develop and deliver cross-functional training on trade compliance topics. - Support the development and evaluation of performance metrics for the Global Trade Compliance team. - Identify and mitigate risks associated with exports from the UK and EU. - Regularly monitor global trade compliance news and regulation changes to ensure continued compliance. - Manage Trade Compliance Specialist (UK). Qualifications: Basic Qualifications : - Bachelor's degrees in related/relevant field - 8 years' experience in trade compliance - Must be able to lawfully work within the jurisdiction where the colleague resides, and travel as needed. - Understand export and licensing requirements, including familiarity with encryption controls and licensing exemptions and exceptions within the UK and EU. - Understand the sanctions process, including monitoring, analyzing, and applying international sanctions in practical situations. - Sound specialist knowledge and practical application knowledge in the field of import and export control (UK/EU/USA/CDN), fully conversant with the UK and EU export control legislation. Preferred Qualifications: - Must have proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word). - Must have excellent technical, analytical, organizational, and computer skills. - Strong written and verbal communications skills and capabilities.
