The Opportunity Due to continued growth and new contracts, we are seeking a Field Service Engineer to support our clients across Moray, Aberdeen, and Fife. What you’ll do: Inspect, service, and maintain PE and gym equipment, from simple gym mats to full sports halls. Work on diverse equipment including kayaks and mountain bikes, with full internal and external training provided. Undertake a variety of repairs, such as: Replacing table inserts. Installing new sports hall netting. Fixing and maintaining outdoor equipment. Safely work at heights on scaffold towers and scissor lifts (full PASMA/IPAF training provided). Carry out outdoor tasks, such as digging and replacing logs for trim trails or restoring safety surfacing. Survey equipment for repairs and new orders. Deliver exceptional customer service, building trusted relationships with clients. What to expect in the role: This is a varied and hands-on role where safety is always the top priority. You will adapt to different tasks each day, drawing on your practical skills, basic tool knowledge, and keen eye for detail to ensure equipment safety. You will also: Accurately measure in millimetres (mm) and metres. Identify colours confidently and provide clear, detailed reports on your findings and recommendations. Manage your own time to ensure work is completed efficiently and to a high standard. Overnight Stays & Flexibility: Journeys exceeding 2 hours from your home address will typically require an overnight stay. Most stays are planned well in advance (4 weeks) with as much notice as possible, though flexibility for short notice is sometimes needed. Overnight stays are fully compensated, and a company-issued card covers your meals. Team Coordination: You will report to the Scotland Office in Cumbernauld fortnightly to collect parts and paperwork, usually on a Friday. Your schedule and weekly work plan will be clearly communicated in advance. Who we’re looking for: A proactive, reliable team player with exceptional customer service skills. A strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and ability to adapt to varied tasks. Attention to detail, especially when working at heights or completing inspections. A clean, professional approach to work. Essential Requirements: Previous experience in a field-based role. Full, clean driving licence. Willingness to undertake an Enhanced DBS check. Basic IT skills for producing reports on a company-issued tablet. What we offer: Full-time position (40 hours/week) with uncapped, paid overtime including all travel (OTE £35k for 50-hour weeks).
