We are looking for caring and passionate individuals to join a team of Residential Childcare Workers. You must be a driver with a full UK driving license as we need to transport children to school, contact, activities etc. Although you may not have experience of working within a Children’s Residential Home setting with children and young people of either gender, between the ages of 8 and 17 years old who may have mild to moderate learning disabilities, have experienced trauma or have emotional/behavioural difficulties, we recognise that there are a range of life experiences and transferrable skills that would be a welcome addition to our team.
You will be supported within your role in the home and you will receive training to enable you to succeed in your role.
We can also accommodate you if you are a student at college or university through offering a range of contracts including full time (40 hours), part time (26 hours) or pool (zero hours).

What we expect:
Qualifications and Skills
* QCF Level 3 Children and Young People’s Workforce Diploma (or equivalent) is desirable (The organisation will facilitate those without the qualification to work towards this qualification upon completion of their probation period).
* Understanding of child development, therapeutic parenting, the needs of children and a commitment to supporting young people is essential.
* Be able to follow all organisation policies.
* You will be working as part of a team of Residential Childcare Workers so good communication, flexibility and teamwork is essential.
* Possess diverse skills and be able to empathise with children with complex needs and manage a range of challenging behaviours.
* Be willing to work on a shift rota system which involves daytime, evening and night work.
* Good organisational and time management skills.
* Live within a commutable distance and have the right to work in the UK.
