Job Introduction
BBC Local Business & Operations Team are recruiting a Business and Resource Scheduling Coordinator to support BBC Local teams in the South West of England. Reporting to the Senior Resource Scheduler, this role will work as part of a team of Business Management and Administration staff in the region. You will provide a wide range of business support services as well as effectively contract and schedule resources including staff, facilities and equipment in accordance with production and transmission requirements.
Main Responsibilities
* Responsible for staff resource scheduling in accordance with requirements and objectives of BBC Local teams.
* Liaise with business colleagues, project and production teams to ensure that forward scheduling meets future requirements.
* Support contracting and payment of contingent workforce including on-air talent.
* Collating and preparing invoices, raising purchase orders, and processing expenses.
* Responsible for coordinating team IT requests and user administration.
* Provide general policy guidance and advice working with divisional specialists.
* Be proactive in contributing towards the cost-effective scheduling of resources.
* Provide business support to BBC Local management.

* Proficient numeracy skills to analyse and reconcile data.
* Excellent knowledge of or ability to learn the BBC’s terms and conditions.
