Junior Nondestructive (NDE) Examination Engineer - Sign on Bonus available for select candidates!
We are looking for a Junior Nondestructive (NDE) Examination Engineer to join our Pittsburgh (Cheswick) location!
Your Responsibilities:
1. Drive the planning, implementation, and maintenance of Non-destructive examination procedures and testing, to facilitate and oversee the quality program regarding Non-destructive examination scope.
2. Generate and maintain internal employee certification and qualification reports for Operations and Inspection personnel.
3. Participate in on-the-job and classroom NDE training for Operations and Inspection personnel.
4. Perform routine NDE oversight and guidance.
5. Participate and review internal control processes such as Certified Material Test Report reviews, Procedure reviews, Requirements flow down, and Quality inspection plans.
6. Participate in root cause analysis to implement corrective actions as needed.
7. Identify potential project or supplier quality issues.
8. Assist in the translation of customer or regulatory requirements into organizational instructions.
9. Participate in external, internal, process, and supplier audits.
What you Bring:
1. BS in Engineering or related technical or science degree.
2. Must be a US Citizen and be able to obtain and maintain DOD security clearance.
3. Must be willing to obtain Level III/Examiner certifications in MT, PT, RT, UT, and VT.
4. Organizational, verbal, and written skills.
5. Self-starter, capable of working independently to drive actions to completion.
6. Ability to work in multiple team environments while providing technical input.
7. 1-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
8. Working knowledge of ASME B&PV Code, NAVSEA-250-1500-1, Tech Pub 271/278.
9. ASNT SNT-TC-1A Level II or NAVSEA-250-1500-1 Inspector in NDE methods of MT, PT, RT, UT, and/or VT is an asset.
10. Past experience with training employees in a manufacturing setting.
