Elevation Engineering and Manufacturing have a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Project Manager to join a leading manufacturing business in South Yorkshire who are looking to further expand their talented projects team for some key 2025 growth.
As Project Manager you will be responsible for the ongoing delivery of cradle to grave CAPEX projects across a brand new site in the US. This will involve regular international travel to site; however, the majority of your time will be spent in South Yorkshire.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Plan, prioritise and implement projects from approval to commissioning, to specification, to time and to budget.
2. Produce and review product requirements documents (PRD).
3. Produce clear and accurate designs in line with the project specification, budget constraints and associated standards; job specific and per legislation.
4. Investigate, cost and submit project proposals for Senior Management approval including proofing of concepts designs and supporting calculations.
5. Liaise and communicate effectively with all levels within the company including senior management, outside bodies, contractors and other companies.
6. Manage project tracking and costing systems, maintaining and accurately recording all work activities & plant interventions in a timely fashion.
7. Provide a timely, responsive and cost-effective service.
8. Lead and assist and meaningfully contribute to and support continuous improvement methods and activities.
9. Manage contractor activity on site, ensuring authorisation to work systems and relevant work permits are enforced including compliance with method statements / risk assessment and value for money.
10. Work closely with other project stakeholders e.g. Production, Technical, HSES when and where required.
11. Responsibility for financial implications of actions taken.
12. Contribute to multifunction teams to solve issues and provide solutions to resolve issues.
13. Provide sufficient information, instruction and training to all reports to ensure competency levels are reached and skills matrices and training records are kept up to date.
14. Carry out any other tasks requested by the Site Engineering Maintenance Manager.
15. Manage all aspects of a new facility build from site services and infrastructure to chrome production primary and secondary processes.
16. Weekly reporting on the project to the Site Engineering Maintenance Manager and business unit President.
17. Regular travel to the facility in the USA once per month for up to a week at a time.
Required Skills and Experience:
1. Chartered engineering level (desirable).
2. Proven Mechanical or Electrical Engineer with at least 5 years’ experience in project management.
3. Educated to degree level holding a MEng/BEng or equivalent.
4. Willingness to travel to the USA.
5. Proven experience as a Project Manager with the ability to demonstrate high volume project delivery.
6. Experience in heavy/medium engineering in a manufacturing environment with knowledge of civil/structural, steelwork and fabrication, and mechanical and electrical systems.
7. Good working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic plant and systems.
8. An excellent appreciation of practical mechanical and electrical engineering; complemented with theoretical approaches.
9. Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and drafting of layouts.
10. Ability to produce designs and calculations for civil/structural, steelwork and fabricated systems.
11. Experience within a high volume 24 hour per day manufacturing environment, working with a range of plant machines desirable, cranes, crushers, conveyors, LEV’s.
12. Knowledge of manufacturing, health & safety and environmental procedures, minimum IOSH qualified (NEBOSH desirable).
13. Leadership skills.
14. Organisational and planning skills with the ability to multitask and coordinate a range of duties/projects.
