Job Summary:
T People are seeking a qualified and experienced Electrician to carry out Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR) for social housing/residential properties.
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, attention to detail, and a commitment to ensuring electrical safety and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR):
o Perform thorough inspections and testing of electrical installations to assess their condition and compliance with current regulations.
o Identify any defects, deterioration, damage, or non-compliance with electrical standards.
2. Documentation and Reporting:
o Accurately complete and issue EICRs, detailing the condition of electrical installations and any required remedial work.
o Provide clear and concise reports to clients, outlining findings and recommendations for necessary actions.
3. Maintenance and Repairs:
o Carry out necessary repairs and maintenance work on electrical installations to rectify any issues identified during inspections.
o Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in accordance with relevant regulations and guidelines.
4. Customer Service:
o Communicate effectively with clients to explain inspection results, necessary repairs, and safety advice.
o Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
5. Compliance and Standards:
o Keep up-to-date with current electrical regulations and best practices (e.g., IET Wiring Regulations).
o Ensure all work adheres to health and safety standards and company policies.
6. Health and Safety:
o Adhere to all health and safety protocols to ensure the safety of yourself, clients, and colleagues.
o Identify and mitigate any potential hazards encountered during inspections and repairs.
Qualifications and Experience:
* 18th Edition Wiring Regs
* Relevant qualifications in electrical installation (NVQ Level 3)
* City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent for inspection and testing
Experience:
* Proven experience in conducting EICRs and issuing electrical safety certificates.
* Experience in maintenance and repair of electrical installations.
Skills:
* Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, installations, and safety standards.
* Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
* Effective communication and customer service skills.
Other Requirements:
* Valid driver’s licence
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Attention to detail and high standards of workmanship.
