As a Systems Integration Engineer, you will work within our Applications and Interoperability team. The role involves the development, release, and support of complex Tactical C4I systems using engineering disciplines to deliver customer and end user focused design services. You will use your experience and the ability to conduct integration and technical problem solving alongside the end user.
The role will involve working with an integrated project team delivering projects and tasks through life, from System and Sub-system design through to test and acceptance and then support and experimentation in the field.
Typical day-to-day activities could include:
* Support Experimentation, Research and Development of the system at customer facilities in the UK and abroad.
* Conduct Technical Systems Integration and Support to projects in house or alongside the end user.
* Understand and Interpret System and Product design, system capabilities, and user guidance in customer delivered technical documents.
* Liaise with cross-functional teams and specialist engineering areas including Safety, Security, and ILS to develop and deliver quality working solutions.
* Conduct Formal Systems Integration and Test activities as part of a wider programme of work. Conduct test activities on the system baseline, creating and maintaining test scripts, troubleshooting, and reporting on results.
* Support Defect Management Lifecycle activities at both the Product and System Level; includes raising informative defects with valid steps to reproduce, conducting in-depth defect investigations, and contributing to the defect sentencing.
* Lab management and reconfiguration - Fill radios, encrypt, image, building, etc.
To be successful in this role you will bring to the role:
* Good understanding and experience of supporting and developing Tactical C4I Systems:
o Experience of operating/developing the in-service BCIP system or experience working with NATO Federate Mission Network (FMN) compliant systems.
o Familiarity with Network Security Gateways.
o Experience in BCIP System Management or interpreting System plans.
o Radio Networks & Bearers.
* Excellent analytical, fault finding with the ability to pinpoint the root cause of an issue as well as problem-solving skills.
Salary for this position is £43,200 to £54,000, depending on experience plus our excellent flexible benefits package.
