The role
Are you an Electrical Engineering specialist seeking a fulfilling career that utilises your expertise and promises personal development, along with the opportunity to work on large-scale and sustainable projects? If so, United Utilities (UU) has an exciting opportunity for you to join our Electrical Engineering team in a pivotal role that will help ensure the successful realisation of our strategic goals in the North West of England.
As Electrical Engineer, you will provide Electrical Engineering support including design and technical engineering advice to all areas of UU. You will be responsible for technical outputs within your UU Engineering Discipline team, operating within delivery teams and work closely and maintain strong relationships with other disciplines and internal clients.

Key accountabilities
* Maintain strong relationships with other disciplines and internal clients, providing technical engineering advice and project delivery
* Oversee the electrical design element of multi-disciplinary projects within budget and programme, including data gathering and preparation of design documents
* Review proposals and provide advice to team members, ensuring adherence to Health and Safety Legislation and Quality Management Systems
* Raise the profile of UU Electrical Engineering through technical papers and STEM activities, and develop UU’s Engineering standards and procedures
* Deputise for a Senior Engineer when requested and continuously develop personal engineering expertise
Skills & experience
To be successful with your application, you’ll need to show that you meet the following essential criteria:
* Qualified to HNC/HND level in relevant engineering subject or have equivalent skills, knowledge and experience
* Experience of providing technical advice and influencing the delivery of successful engineering outcomes
* Experience and/or understanding of electrical engineering design, systems and technologies, front-end engineering design, detailed design, Building Information Modelling (BIM) and intelligent Piping and Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID) systems
* Knowledge and experience of industry techniques and technologies for Instrument, Control & Automation (ICA) and HV & LV power systems.
* Hold a current Full UK driving licence
