This ASD tutor role will be ideal if you are a newly qualified teacher, teaching assistant, SEN one-to-one or have any experience working with children and are looking for some flexible work. This ASD tutor role involves: Working with children with ASD and provide face to face support within their homes or the local community. Planning and delivery of your own engaging lessons / sensory sessions. Managing challenging behaviour. Planning resources around the child’s needs, this could be on developing their knowledge in Maths and English or learning through play. The SEN tutor roles are based in and around the Long Eaton and can be easily accessed by road, bus or train. Working hours are flexible between Monday to Friday, and within school hours. What we are looking for in an ASD tutor: SEN experience (as teaching assistant, one-to-one or any other) Able to plan and deliver engaging, nurturing, and sensory sessions. Applying skills to raise pupils’ confidence and learning. Experience with working with children with challenging behaviour. Checking that pupils are on track to achieve their desired learning outcomes and being able to provide feedback.
