Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Theatre Team Leader on a permanent basis working 37.5 hour per week. You will be responsible for providing leadership to the theatre teams within the Main Theatre department. You will demonstrate a leading by example style of leadership with clinical credibility maintaining visibility and accessibility to both staff and patients, including undertaking direct patient care. Main duties of the job To work as part of the senior team to lead and coordinate the clinical, managerial and educational requirements of a defined clinical area, ensuring adequate systems are in place to support continuity of pre and post operative nursing care. To provide leadership within the theatre team daily, inspiring, nurturing and empowering colleagues to deliver patient centred, evidence-based nursing care. To maintain, monitor and audit standards of care to ensure patient safety and quality of care. Leading by example, maintaining visibility and accessibility to staff, patients and visitors, including undertaking direct clinical care of patients. To assist in the management of a team comprising registered practitioners, healthcare assistants and support workers.
