Look no further An exciting opportunity has arisen for a recent graduate who is keen to acquire experience and build a career in the localisation industry. The lucky candidate would be working alongside project managers in our Marketing Localisation department, providing support on a wide variety of high-profile translation, transcreation, interpreting, voice-over and subtitling projects for Editorial, Marketing, Corporate and Gaming clients. The ideal candidate should have a proactive mind-set with a high standard of written and spoken English, be able to adapt to the changing demands of the fast-paced environment, have excellent attention to detail and communicate effectively with different cultures on a daily basis. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Providing ad hoc administrative and production support as required by the team and the company Sourcing suppliers and negotiating rates as required Organising projects from start to finish, including trafficking materials for suppliers, and communicating daily with Project Managers Preparing files for translation using memoQ Quality assurance prior to delivery Working with subtitling software: preparing files for suppliers, prepping for client’s delivery, implementing changes, fixing issues, exporting final deliverables Managing workflow to ensure projects are completed on a timely basis, within budget and to a high standard of quality at all times Completing project admin Raising issues that may arise during the course of a project with an assigned mentor Working with PMs to update project schedules and reports Skills and experience: University degree, preferably in Translation, Audio-visual translation or a related discipline Excellent written and spoken English with outstanding communication skills Ability to handle multiple tasks and work well independently, under pressure, and in a fast-paced environment Strong knowledge of standard MS Office programmes Excellent organisational, time management and planning skills Excellent problem-solving and numeracy skills Attention to detail and accuracy Flexible team player, willing to 'go the extra mile' to get the job done Self-motivated and able to use own initiative Outgoing and confident personality Knowledge of a second language, desirable Working knowledge of a subtitling software, desirable Working knowledge of Trados or memoQ, desirable Desired skills and experience An understanding and interest in languages (the ability to speak another language would be useful but not essential) What else is on offer?
