Skilled Worker / Semi-Skilled Worker | Full-Time | Production
Supporting production by helping maintain, repair and fill automated resin dispensing machines and production moulds by performing the following duties:
1. Support Production self-managed teams.
2. Assisting in repairs or maintenance of dispensing machines.
3. Fill machines with components and complete all production paperwork.
4. Perform mould repairs/support refurbishment.
5. Cleaning of machines as part of first line maintenance.
6. Maintain mould, mouldette's, root plates, mould services.
7. Work to detailed planned maintenance using electronic asset management.
8. Using electronic asset management record all work against each machine.
9. Keep records of parts used and up to date Kanban system.
10. Understand mechanical drawings.
11. Understanding of basic electricity, hydraulics and pneumatics.
12. Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
13. Ability to receive and maintain forklift certification.
14. Lift, position, and/or remove material from work areas.
15. Use and handle hazardous materials and understand their hazards at various locations using machines and equipment, properly segregate hazardous materials and waste.
16. Communicate to warehouse and/or shipping the transport of hazardous materials and waste according to strict regulatory requirements.
17. Comply with state and federal regulations for handling, storage, disposal, transport etc. of hazardous materials and waste.
18. Other duties as assigned.
• Frequently push, pull and/or lift up to 35 lbs individually and up to 70 lbs as a team.
• Must be able to wear the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for the task, i.e. safety glasses, gloves, face shield, respirator, bump cap.
• Must be able to tolerate an environment where chemicals and materials are used within OSHA guidelines. Frequently required to stand and walk and occasionally required to sit.
• Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms.
• Regularly required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
• Ability to read and comprehend Work Process Instructions and translate that into the ability to perform the tasks required.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.
• Long hours, nights, weekends and holidays are a potential.
Qualifications
1. High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 6 - 12 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
2. At least one year in a production environment working in labor intensive positions which could include warehousing, material handling, construction, landscape and field laborer, oil/gas, merchandizer, foundry and general labor.
3. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
4. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers
