Bromley AACC Support Officer – Appeals and Complaints

This is an opportunity to take on an adult NHS Continuing Healthcare (CHC) support officer role across both the Bromley All-Age Continuing Care (AACC) team and Bromley Learning Disabilities/Mental Health and Wellbeing Commissioning. The Commissioning Support Officer - CHC Appeals will be a good fit for an individual with strong administration, business and analytical skills, an eye for detail, and an ability to successfully manage the accurate processing of local appeals.
Main duties of the job
The role is a good fit for someone who can balance a number of competing priorities, whilst maintaining at all times a keen focus on delivering the appeal and complaint responsibilities.
The Commissioning Support Officer - CHC Appeals will provide administrative support to the Bromley All-Age Continuing Care (AACC) service, Learning Disabilities and Mental Health and Wellbeing Commissioning teams by:
1. Providing full and comprehensive administrative support to the Continuing Healthcare (CHC) Appeals team, in the implementation of the National Framework to support the CHC nursing team to enable them to carry out their work effectively.
2. Ensuring that timely support is provided to a high quality and patient-focused service.
3. Organizing and coordinating meetings, distributing agendas, taking minutes, collating appeal files, and disseminating information to a range of internal and external contacts.
The Commissioning Support Officer - Appeals will be a member of the AACC team. The role will support work to ensure that the entire AACC team is supported with an effective business support service. The post holder will also participate as an officer within the broader Integrated Commissioning Division.

Education /Qualifications
* Thorough knowledge of administrative procedures, including specialist software packages acquired through experience or formal training to diploma level.
Experience and Knowledge
* Experience of working in the NHS and/or local authority at a relevant level.
* Experience working within the legislative and policy landscape of Continuing Healthcare (CHC), with demonstrable experience working on areas related to health and care delivery.
* Experience of providing excellent customer service in a public sector environment.
* Experience of working in a project-focused environment.
Skills and Abilities
* Advanced keyboard skills.
* Ability to take accurate minutes and write clearly and precisely.
* Ability to prioritise tasks, seeking guidance as required.
