Chilworth Partnership are assisting a rapidly growing, PE backed technology company based in Basingstoke, in their search for a Finance Director. This newly created role will assume responsibility for multiple entities and play a critical role in medium and long term strategy.
Responsibilities:
1. Lead partnering with Business Operations, Sales, and other teams to develop and implement continuous improvement processes for financial matters.
2. Develop and implement financial strategies aimed at analysing and expanding profitable service lines, leveraging data analytics to identify high-growth service opportunities.
3. Partner with the Exec team to interpret financial data and deliver insights that guide strategic decisions.
4. Lead the analysis of contribution margins across service lines to identify opportunities for profitability improvements.
5. Provide data driven budgeting and forecasting, managing monthly performance analysis, including management reports and KPs.
6. Present actionable financial insights to the Exec team, Board and stakeholders, with a focus on the financial impact of service lines and contribution margin optimisation.
7. Manage the local Financial Control function and collaborate with external partners, including audit and tax firms.
8. Run the annual financial closing processes, including the preparation of financial statements.
Candidate background:
1. Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
2. Mixed experience across large organisations and SMEs.
3. Knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS) and procedures.
4. Excellent influencing skills, with ability to robustly challenge Exec level stakeholders.
5. Ability to roll sleeves up and be in the detail as well as take a more strategic viewpoint.
6. Proven leadership and people management skills.
7. Natural affinity with process, controls and systems improvements.
