Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
* Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons and activities
* Provide one-to-one and small-group support to pupils to meet their individual needs
* Support children with their social, emotional, and academic development
* Help prepare classroom resources and learning materials for interventions
* Encourage behaviour for learning and promote a safe and inclusive learning environment
* Support pupils with additional needs, following guidance from the SENCo and external professionals
* Working in partnership with teachers and support team, SENCo, parents/carers, and external professionals to review children’s individual targets/EHCPs
* Supervise children during break and lunchtimes
* Meet children’s physical care needs, e.g. meal/snack times, toilet training, etc.
* Participate in training and development activities to complete the Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship
