We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a mainstream primary school in Barking and Dagenham. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about working with young children and supporting their learning and development in a dynamic and inclusive environment.
About the role
As a Primary School Teaching Assistant, you will:
1. Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and activities.
2. Work with small groups and individual students to provide additional support, focusing on literacy, numeracy, and social development.
3. Help with classroom management and create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.
4. Assist in the preparation and organisation of learning materials.
5. Work closely with other staff and professionals, including SENCOs and educational psychologists, to support children with additional needs.

Requirements
To be considered for the role of Teaching Assistant you will:
1. Have experience working with children in a primary school setting (desirable, but not essential).
2. Have a good understanding of child development and a genuine desire to help children succeed.
3. Have relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification would be an advantage).
The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are:
1. Enhanced DBS check will be required (or willingness to undergo one).
