As a Commercial Accountant, you’ll work hand-in-hand with our Commercial teams, using data-driven insight to help shape category strategy and deliver profitable growth. You’ll be the go-to expert, challenging performance, supporting decision-making, and making sure every pound spent is adding value.
This is a fast-paced, high-impact role where you’ll be at the heart of key business decisions, partnering with some of the most dynamic teams in the business.
What You’ll Be Doing:
1. Providing commercial insight – not just the numbers, but the ‘so what?’
2. Challenging the business to drive the best commercial outcomes
3. Delivering accurate analysis and insight to support decision-making
4. Evaluating business performance, ensuring clear understanding across teams
5. Owning period-end activities, including stock and supplier income reporting
6. Influencing new product launches, promotions, and pricing strategies to ensure profitability
7. Driving continuous improvement, identifying ways to make processes slicker and more effective
8. Playing a key role in budget and forecast preparation, ensuring financial plans are robust and achievable
9. Working on cross-functional projects, collaborating across the wider business
What We’re Looking For:
We need a Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent) with a strong foundation in management or financial accounting. If you’ve got commercial finance experience, that’s a plus – but more importantly, we want someone who’s curious, proactive, and ready to challenge the status quo.
You’ll also bring:
