We offer part-time adult learning in over 30 venues all over the county and are seeking a Counselling tutor to commence teaching in September 2024. As part of a team, you will deliver a pathway of courses from introduction through to Level 4 Counselling and Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body (CPCAB) qualifications.
Essential Requirements:
* Level 5 counselling qualification
* Certificate in Education and Training or equivalent generic teaching qualification
* English and maths qualifications at grade 4/C or above
* At least 3 years' experience of teaching or delivering training
* Digitally literate
Desirable:
* Practicing counsellor preferred
Successful candidates:
* Will be expected to teach across Dorset
* Will need to be flexible and be able to teach evenings (Monday - Thursday and some Saturdays)
* May experience varied weekly working hours throughout the year
* May be asked to teach outside of term-time e.g., summer schools
* As part of your teaching case load, you may be asked to coach and mentor other staff as part of their ongoing CPD
In return:
* You will be a permanent salaried member of staff with no need to submit pay claims
* The annual salary and hours are based on a 44-week year, similar to a term time contract
* Weekly contact hours are 22.5
* Part of your contracted hours are ring-fenced to Planning and Preparation
* You will have an allowance from your contracted hours to attend Meetings
* You will have an allowance from your contracted hours to undertake Training and CPD
* Travel time (not commute) is taken from your contracted hours
* You will have your own Laptop
