Band 6 Biomedical Scientist Haematology Locum – Central London Position: Band 6 Biomedical Scientist Banding: 6 Location: Central London Rate: £23.00 – £30.00 per hour The Biomedical Science team at Pulse is currently recruiting a Band 6 Biomedical Scientist in Haematology/Blood Transfusion to work in a busy hospital in Central London. We are looking for a Biomedical Scientist who can make a real difference in supporting the laboratory’s service. This will be a temporary contract with a rate of £23.00 – £30.00 per hour. What will you be doing in this Biomedical Scientist role? As a Biomedical Scientist in Haematology and Blood Transfusion, you will be expected to have excellent experience in using analysers for full blood counts (FBC) and for coagulation. Experience in blood film morphology is preferred but not essential. You will be experienced in maintaining and troubleshooting the analysers alongside your usual duties in loading and operation. Essential Requirements: HCPC registered UK NHS or private sector Haematology laboratory experience Competent in using pathology computer systems Good attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work methodically, under pressure, and adapt to changing demands appropriately.
