Nottinghamshire County Council - Business Analyst Role
Nottinghamshire County Council is seeking a Business Analyst to join the Strategic Insight Unit, which supports a wide range of continuous improvement, transformation, and change initiatives across the authority. The role involves utilizing various analytical methodologies, tools, and products such as lean systems and predictive analytics to provide actionable insights and recommendations for stakeholders.
This demanding role is suited for individuals experienced in complex local authority or similar public sector environments, with a strong understanding of current issues, challenges, and developments. Key responsibilities include:
1. Undertaking detailed diagnostics, including root cause analysis.
2. Collaboratively generating and evaluating potential improvement and change options against various criteria.
3. Analyzing current and forecasted service demand, supply, utilization, performance, and impact.
4. Applying understanding of complex systems' structures, inter-relationships, behaviors, and processes.
5. Supporting the development of business cases, and assessing and tracking benefits, disbenefits, risks, issues, and costs.
6. Integrating, analyzing, and interpreting large and complex data sets from various sources.
7. Managing complex stakeholder relationships effectively and empathetically.
8. Collaborating with colleagues in the Strategic Insight Unit and wider Transformation and Change Group to foster a culture of inclusion, cohesion, collaboration, creativity, and continuous learning.
The position is initially offered as a fixed-term 12-month contract, with the possibility of becoming permanent if a suitable vacancy arises.
