Thornbridge Outdoors is Sheffield City Council's outdoor learning centre located near Bakewell in the Peak District. Our mission is 'to widen the horizons of young people through real outdoor adventures in the Peak District'.
Please note the location of the centre which is between the villages of Great Longstone and Ashford in the Water in Derbyshire - the postcode is DE45 1NY and worth looking up if you are not familiar with the area. The location is, unfortunately, not well served by public transport so applicants will need to be local or have access to a car.
The centre, located in a beautiful area of the Peak District near Bakewell, accommodates 90 people in its range of indoor accommodation and up to 130 camping. It provides term time residentials for school pupils and weekend and holiday accommodation for families and other groups.
