Job summary Would you like to join our patient focused Pharmacy service? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Pharmacy Assistant to join our pharmacy team at Musgrove Park Hospital. This is a rotational post. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, flexible, self-motivated and with good communication and interpersonal skills. Main duties of the job The successful applicant will join our friendly team of assistants, technicians and pharmacists. The post holder will work flexibly to deliver a Pharmacy Service rotating between Dispensary, Aseptic services, Stores, and Ward Distribution Dispensary - dispensing medication for inpatients and outpatients from the pharmacy robot. Aseptic services - working in our newly refurbished aseptic suite at the Beacon Production Unit supporting the team with preparing chemotherapy treatments, this is a Pharmacy run production unit with specialist equipment to help prepare individual patient treatments. Ward Distribution - carry out a medicines top-up service on wards and will assist with other medicines related duties i.e. medicines expiry checks, stock checks and returning medicines. Stores - Receiving deliveries of pharmaceutical goods to support the store person.
