Role Responsibilities:
As a Project Engineer, you will be pivotal in driving the success of various projects across our client's 5 UK manufacturing sites.
Key Responsibilities Include:
1. Project Management: Preparing, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring assigned projects to ensure timely and efficient completion.
2. Compliance and Standards: Ensuring adherence to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards, and specifications.
3. Daily Interaction: Collaborating with on-site personnel from production and Health & Safety to understand their needs, interpret requirements, and develop solutions.
4. Contractor Management: Sourcing, raising orders, and managing contractors to ensure the successful completion of projects.
5. Machinery Installation: Organising the unloading, positioning, and service connection of multimillion-pound/dollar machinery, ensuring successful installation and functionality.
6. Documentation: Creating trial documents by understanding product and machine needs. Learning the full range of products and quality standards to organize trials and materials efficiently.
7. Site Oversight: Walking the site to ensure contractors follow on-site rules, have necessary resources, and to obtain updates on work progress.
8. Team Collaboration: Working within a three-person team to manage various aspects of project delivery including power supplies, air supplies, wood dust extraction, machinery unload, install, trials, sign off, chairing meetings, and delivering project requirements.
Specific tasks will include:
1. Project briefs and developing business cases, including product requirements, run rates, machine specifications, and supplier recommendations.
2. Procurement, financial reporting, delivery, installation, services installation, machinery testing, and sign off.
3. PUWER and other safety tests and ensuring production teams are satisfied.
Skills and Experience Required:
1. MS Office skills.
2. Work experience as a project engineer.
3. Problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills.
4. Leadership, time management, and organisational skills.
5. Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
6. Ability to chair on-site meetings, provide updates, and receive feedback on existing projects.
7. Identify areas for improvement and implement changes effectively.
8. Experience in installing and signing off manufacturing machinery.
9. Work both independently and as part of a team to ensure project delivery.
10. Find solutions without support when necessary.

Team Dynamics:

Project Scope:
