We are seeking to appoint a talented colleague to join our Technology Department and lead on the teaching of Product Design.
All students in Key Stage 3 enjoy Technology as part of their core curriculum, and it is delivered via a carousel consisting of Product Design, Food Technology and Textiles. In Key Stage 4 Food and Nutrition and Product Design are both offered at GCSE, and we have good classes of both, in both Year 10 and Year 11.
The Technology Department benefits from some beautiful and well-resourced classrooms including a large student workshop, Textiles Room and Food technology suite, as well as computer suites and staff preparation areas.
Students enjoy their timetabled Technology lessons, but we also complement and enrich their experiences through trips, workshops, collaborative experiences, displays and extra-curricular and enrichment opportunities.
The Archbishop Lanfranc Academy opened in September 2014 and moved into its brand new whole-school rebuild in September 2017.
The Academy also benefits from an on-site nursery open to both staff and the general public which also has a grading of “Good” from Ofsted.
We are committed to high-quality, collaborative and relevant CPD for all members of staff to enable and support them to make the best possible progress in their role and in their future career development. As a growing school there are many opportunities for ‘in-house’ progression.
The Academy is located within a short walk of Therapia Lane Tram Stop, mid-way between East Croydon and Wimbledon Mainline Stations and underground connections, both of which are approximately 15 minutes by tram from the school.
