Due to demand, we're looking for experienced Technicians to join our Maritime Mission Systems business unit in Templecombe. With experience building electrical or electro-mechanical assemblies, you'll be performing manufacturing tasks in accordance with engineering drawings to the required quality. The product range is diverse; one day you'll be working on small detailed board work and another on a large scale sonar product. You'll have the opportunity to learn from a large, experienced, and knowledgeable team, and the opportunity to progress through the Manufacturing function or move into Quality, People Management, or Engineering in the future, all of which is fully supported by Thales. The roles are based out of our Templecombe manufacturing site. You will work a 4-day week, Monday to Thursday, with 9.25 hours per day. Start time is flexible between 6:00am and 7:30am, and you get 30 minutes unpaid for lunch. There is also free on-site parking and an on-site canteen.
Key Duties:
* Produce on time and to quality manufacture of Electrical assemblies
* Escalate blockers and issues to team Leader
* Escalate Health and Safety issues to team Leader
* Ensure 5S standards are met
* Log and escalate any quality non-conformances to the Inspector or Quality representative
* Log all incidents correctly and escalate to H&S leaders as appropriate
Minimum Requirements:
* Experience building electrical or electro-mechanical assemblies
* Experience in wiring
* The ability to interpret drawings and wiring diagrams
* Eligible to obtain full SC clearance at UK eyes only
