Description Accountabilities Safety Demonstrate, manage and lead a positive Health and Safety culture at work, maintaining exceptional Health and Safety standards across the business unit Ensuring that all Ocado and legislative requirements are met at the business unit. Ensure that the company’s Health and Safety Policy and Arrangements are implemented and monitored in the areas under their control. Ensure that all persons with specific health and safety responsibilities are adequately trained and are released from normal duties to carry out their specific responsibilities. Ensure that adequate training records are held to demonstrate appropriate HSE training and awareness for individuals. Arrange for regular safety monitoring of the workplace to be carried out to ensure that all safety rules, regulations and safe working practices are being complied with and that any identified hazards are eliminated or reduced to their lowest practical level. Ensure that any relevant safety inspections are carried out. Ensure that consultation with employees is undertaken either directly with the employees, or through the elected safety representative. Ensure that the operation of contractors working on Ocado Ltd premises is controlled at all times. Facilities, Vehicle Management and Operation – To ensure that all site facilities, vehicles and other assets are maintained in line with all company policies, and legislative requirements by: • Undertaking completion of paperwork and investigations in line with company vehicle incident process Ensure the fleet is managed efficiently and cost effectively in line with suppliers and contractor agreements and ensure there are enough vans and other delivery assets for routes required. Ensure proactive management of site facilities and assets to ensure that preventive maintenance is completed and relevant documentation is kept at site to demonstrate this. Participate in trials of new vehicles, equipment and processes from time to time as well as implement roll outs and disposal of obsolete equipment. Manage visitor and contractor management policies and processes.
