We’re putting in place a fresh operating model for non-financial risk management across the Group, empowering our people to take end-to-end accountability for managing the risks that they face This means we’re changing how we do risk management, creating a team of second line risk specialists, to provide support aligned to our first line risk owners and control owners to deliver great customer outcomes We’re looking for two Assistant Managers for our Continuous Risk Management, Analytics, and Insurable Risks team. You’ll manage the timely and accurate production of high-quality analysis and evaluation of the Operational Risk and Control environment in alignment with the Group’s Enterprise Risk Management Framework (ERMF). You’ll also support analysis of the Group’s corporate insurance requirements in relation to our Property & Casualty and Financial Lines. What you'll be doing: Works with Operational Risk Specialist teams to provide Risk support and help deliver against aligned customer, business, and strategic outcomes. Produces timely and accurate data, analysis, and documentation, to support our Operational Risk Specialists monitor and manage continuous risk management performance across the Group. Reports findings and deviations using concise and clear reporting and escalates appropriately to senior colleagues. Adopts a range of techniques to deliver prescribed analytical outcomes which inform Operational Risk Specialist decision-making and add value to the function and wider business. Places particular focus on predictive analytics to help identify and manage risks and trends before they occur. Assists in the management of actions resulting from our continuous risk management, operational risk analytics, and monitoring of insurable risks. Identifies issues and then suggests and implements improvements to control environment with guidance from senior colleagues. Develops a core understanding of insurable risks to support the identification of exposures and mitigants. Proactively researches external best practice and trends to inform internal thinking on how to strengthen and evolve operational risk analytics and insurable risk mitigation strategies ongoing. What you’ll need: Ability to work independently to analyse data from multiple sources to draw appropriate conclusions and make suitable recommendations. Able to acquire, organise, protect, and process data to fulfil business objectives. Understand how to Identify, assess, prioritise, and manage risks in a production process. Ability to work independently to develop, monitor, interpret, and understand policies and procedures, while making sure they match organisational strategies and objectives. Actively exhibits and promotes the LBG Values and brings them into all work. Also participates in the wider enrichment of CCOR, and the wider Group, to be a great place to work. Has extensive working experience of using SQL for data processing and strategic visualisation tools such as Tableau & PowerBI for building analytical ready datasets for reporting. You’ll drive your own personal growth, supported by your Line Manager, but building your skills for the future, and contributing to a strong team. And any experience of these would be really useful: A background in predictive analytics would be highly advantageous. An understanding of advanced data analytics techniques using Python or similar programming languages. An understanding of the Risk & Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) System.
