SEN Teacher (Primary) - Dover
Full-time - MPS/UPS - September Start
Tradewind Recruitment are sourcing for a dedicated Primary Teacher to teach a KS2 SEN class from September till December on a full-time basis. This is a focused group comprised of 15 students, with 2 TAs and a HLTA in the class and will be a blended curriculum for Y4, Y5, and Y6. 7 of these students have EHCPs. This role is for an experienced teacher.
The school is a small split form entry primary school on the outskirts of Dover and has been highlighted by Ofsted for their strides in improving behaviour at the school, with the children being well behaved and happy to be there. Leaders have worked hard to update the curriculum and this had led to positive change that has been appreciated by all staff, as well as the parents. This school is very accessible via public transport and driving.
The Role
1. Planning and delivering the Primary Curriculum in KS2 to a focus group of children with SEN.
2. Responsibility for ensuring your cohort is supported, and challenged appropriately with the work set.
3. Managing behaviour within the classroom effectively
4. Liaising with Parents/Guardians on the progress and/or potential development areas of students

Requirements
9. Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) in the UK
10. Experience teaching the UK Primary Curriculum KS2 would be highly desirable but not essential.
11. Experience teaching children with SEN, notably ASD.
12. Hold an enhanced DBS (DBS on the update service is highly desirable)
13. Have right to work in the UK
