An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Intermediate Care Bedded Unit therapy team. As Physiotherapy Team Lead, you will work alongside the Occupational Therapy Team Lead in supporting the MDT to provide assessment and interventions to people requiring additional rehabilitation on discharge from hospital.
You will be joining an established team of therapists that work with the MDT, including nurses, care support workers, doctors, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Pharmacists, and Activity Coordinators.
You should have significant post-registration experience within the NHS, including working in a community and/or rehabilitation setting, covering a wide variety of clinical areas. You will be an excellent team player with proven leadership skills. You will possess excellent communication skills and must be able to work on your own initiative to organize and prioritize your own caseload while balancing the demands of managing a team within this diverse and varied role.
The Service operates over 7 days (weekends occurring 1:4).
Main Duties of the Job
You will be leading a team of therapists, providing professional support to the physiotherapists and supporting the management of all staff within the Therapy team alongside the OT Team Lead.
You will be working closely with the nurse managers in the day-to-day running of the unit to ensure effective patient interventions and timely patient flow.
You will provide leadership to the unit, supporting service development and representing the unit within the wider trust.

Qualifications and Registration
* BSc/MSc Physiotherapy
* HCPC Registered
Skills and Knowledge
* Significant post-registration NHS experience, including experience of working in rehabilitation with adults and older people
* Evidence of a wide clinical theoretical knowledge base and specialist knowledge of multiple pathologies and ageing
* Experience of working as part of an integrated MDT
* Evidence of supervising other staff and students
* Evidence of CPD relevant to specialist area
* Highly developed communication skills
* Experience of working in the community and/or rehabilitation unit
* Experience in audit and outcome measurement
* Car Driver
