Job Description:
We are looking for a highly motivated and agileSenior Finance Coordinatorto join ourGlobal Business Services(GBS) team inSutton Coldfieldto provide support and guidance to McDonald’s Franchisees, departments and suppliers on all finance and accounting matters relating to the accuracy and completeness of the UK & Ireland entities financial statements.

This role would be ideal for someone witha curious and ambitious individuallooking todevelop your technical skills, helpdrive process improvementand provide aquality customer experience.
What will my accountabilities be?
1. Effectively carry out alltransactional accountingandfinancial reporting duties associated with the Franchisees’ financial and accounting relationship with McDonald’s
o Responsible for customer billing and debtor receipts
o Performance of general accounting activities, including the preparation, recording, verification, analysis and reporting of accounts receivable transactions, and posting of customer payments on a timely basis
o Maintains and reconciles accounts receivable ledger accounts, financial statements and reports
o Responsible forcustomer support, includingexception handlingand responding to / resolving resulting queries
2. Management ofaccounting accruals and of the relevantreportingandreconciliations.
3. Build andcultivate relationshipswith Franchisees, their Finance teams, Operations, Suppliers and Office colleagues to provide a valuable network of contacts to assist speedy and agreeable query resolutions.
4. Review business processes, gathering information to recommend anddevelop improvementsand efficiency savings whilst ensuring that control compliance and data integrity are preserved.
5. Utilise automation solutions, advanced Excel functionality, system tools and macros tostreamline processesand remove manual touch points.
6. Create and develop technical solutions thatimprove efficiencyand effectiveness of GBS Finance procedures.
7. Document newly implemented internal enhancements; update SOPs,prepare trainingmaterials and other documents as relevant.
8. Detect anomalies in data, andprovide recommendationsfor exception resolution that is aligned to policies and enables robust insight

Essential Skill & Experience:
* Knowledge of Finance & Accounting:
o Balance Sheet Reconciliations e.g., Bank Reconciliations
o Accruals & Prepayments
o Journal Posting
* Advanced Excel: Pivot Tables & V-Lookup’s
