Job Title: Registered Manager – Children and Young People

Salary: Negotiable, at least over £40k, or more, depending on experience. If you are Ofsted Registered, this could be significantly higher.
Hours: Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm
Minimum Requirements:
* Driving Licence (required)
* Level 5 in Leadership and Management in Residential Childcare (preferred)
* Level 4 in Children and Young People's Practitioner (preferred)
The Residential Children’s Care Home Manager is a key member of our management team and is critical to the success of the work we do and the outcomes we achieve. We are searching for the right person to join and lead our new projects through the next exciting phase of our development. You will be responsible for managing a Solo Occupancy Children’s Residential Care Home, ensuring it is a safe and secure place for the child. We will only ever accommodate one child or young person at a time.

Duties:
1. Lead and manage a Solo Occupancy Children’s Home consistently and reliably.
2. Ensure adherence to the home’s Statement of Purpose throughout all working practices.
3. Aim to achieve “Good” with the aspiration to achieve an “Outstanding” Service under Children’s Home Regulations and Ofsted Regulatory framework.
4. Manage services, including staff management and supervisions, care and placement planning, safeguarding, communications, report writing, and monitoring overall quality and compliance of service.
5. Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
6. Complete all required reports in line with timescales.
7. Provide individual care and care planning that is child-focused and personalized to meet their needs.
8. Manage safeguarding children, risk, and service governance.
9. Ensure children have access to all services that meet their individual needs.
10. Supervise the staff team regularly and as required.
11. Support and take responsibility for the recruitment of staff in line with organizational policy and procedure.
12. Coach and support the development of the team.
13. Ensure staff are supported with their initial induction, probationary reviews, individual practice support plans, and annual reviews and development of individual plans for ongoing service and personal development.
Requirements:
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Children’s Residential, or equivalent.
* Demonstrate commitment to continuing personal development.
* Experience: 2 years working with children in the last 5 years, including supervision or management experience, working with children, young people, and their families, and experience in a residential setting.
* Knowledge of multi-agency working.
