Service Operations Manager
Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to execute service work of low to medium complexity as per work instructions and in accordance with ABB standard processes, quality standards, and safety guidelines. Each day, you will deliver quality service to satisfy customers. You will also showcase your expertise by displaying clear understanding of sense of urgency and care in your own area of responsibility. The work model for the role is: Onsite. This role is contributing to the UPS, Smart Power division in the UK. Main stakeholders are external customers, wider UPS team, and subcontractors. You will be mainly accountable for:
1. Performing entry level field service tasks, identifying technical issues, and performing analysis through remote or on-site activity in service categories and products.
2. Preparing material lists needed for service activity and ensuring that all materials, parts, and equipment are available and of appropriate quality for service activities.
3. Executing work on a first-time right approach with customers, and ensuring the job is done on time and as per quality standards.
4. Preparing all documents and customer reports to be signed by the customer representative.
Qualifications for the role
* Relevant Electronic qualification with some experience as a field engineer on UPS systems or working on other electronic systems such as drives or similar technology.
* Valid driving license in the UK.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills.
* Personal organization skills with a strong sense of accountability.
* Experience in all Microsoft office applications.
