THE ROLE
The Growth Marketing Manager will spearhead our efforts to drive customer acquisition, engagement, and habituation through innovative and data-driven performance marketing strategies.
This role is crucial in optimizing our digital presence across various channels, including our flagship BBC app, to maximize reach, awareness, and consumption of our digital products.
Responsibilities:
* Develop and execute comprehensive brand and performance marketing strategies that increase awareness, consumption and habituation of BBC services.
* Lead App product marketing efforts in close collaboration with the Product team, focusing on increasing awareness, installs, and consumption, and develop remarketing strategies that help convert to paid subscription, in addition to managing App Store Optimisation (ASO) and App Store pages for the flagship BBC app, including the creation of assets and optimisation of copy.
* Developing and managing performance through regular reports, systems, dashboards, PCAs, A/B Testing and measurement frameworks. Analysing performance, generating reports, and providing recommendations for continuous improvement.
* Plan, launch, and optimise paid digital advertising campaigns across various channels, ensuring alignment with KPIs, demonstrating ROI and LTV (Lifetime Value) of a user.
* Lead marketing initiatives for Owned & Operated (O&O) platforms, including ATL (TV, OOH) and digital marketing, including display, content marketing, email marketing, social media, and SEO.
* Support the Consumer Growth and Monetisation team with campaigns aimed at increasing account registrations, growing 1st party data and ultimately subscriptions of BBC.com through a paywall.
* Support the Newsletter strategy by driving acquisition campaigns aimed at increasing sign-ups, leveraging ad automation tools and collaborating with CRM teams/agencies.
* Establishing influential relationships with peers in Marketing, Media, Creative, Editorial, and Product teams. Collaborating to create an overall approach for digital media platforms, processes, and activity.
* Identify and define target audience cohorts, implementing segmentation strategies to tailor marketing messages accordingly.
* Manage budget forecasts and spend plans, monitoring costs and budgets to reach targets, and ensuring financial, commercial, and savings targets are met.
WHAT DOES IT TAKE?
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
* Proven experience in digital marketing, particularly in performance marketing, user acquisition and retention strategies, and a solid knowledge of paid digital advertising.
* Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), MMPs (e.g., AppsFlyer), and SEO/ASO strategies.
* Demonstrated ability to manage transformation projects and adapt to new processes and technologies including implementing data and MarTech solutions in complex organisations.
* Experience managing people, setting clear objectives, and fostering creativity and an inclusive culture.
* Proficiency in using digital measurement tools and frameworks (e.g., Google Analytics, Piano, Adobe) for reporting and decision-making including experience with analytics tools, 1st party data, and A/B testing.

* Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and influencing skills, with the ability to collaborate across organizational boundaries.

Salary: £48,200 - £58,000 + London Weighting (£5,319) depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.
