Personal Assistant
A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF
I am a female living in the Roath area of Cardiff, I live with my son who is a big support to me. I have a diagnosis of Huntington’s disease which makes me unsteady and at high risk of having falls. I struggle with day to day tasks and will require my PA to prepare meals for me whilst my son is at work. I am a huge fan of music, listening and attending concerts, and watching sport.
PURPOSE OF JOB
To keep me safe in my home and out in the community and to ensure I am eating and staying hydrated. You can also prompt me to shower if needed and ensure I am safe.
PLACE OF WORK
In my home and out in the community.
HOURS OF WORK
4 Hours per week
1 hour at lunch time Monday to Thursday.
RATE OF PAY
£14.00 per hour.
TASKS INVOLVED
To heat a ready meal and supervise me while eating.
To prepare a sandwich and drinks for later in the day.
To check the flat for hazards and ensure that the environment is safe.
To encourage me to eat and drink enough.
To prompt me to shower.
TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED
Female PA due to personal care.
Someone who is friendly, polite and trustworthy.
ABOUT THE JOB
Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A probation period will be necessary in the first instance. Wages will be paid 4 weekly. You will receive 5.6 weeks paid holiday (pro rata). You will be required to apply for a DBS check at no expense to you.
