Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 per annum + performance-related bonus scheme
As our Operations Assistant, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth execution of our construction and service-related fieldwork. You will be responsible for overseeing operational processes and quality assurance protocols, as well as communications with staff, sub-contractors, and clients to ensure the efficient and productive running of the business.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Supporting with the preparation of construction and engineering project work, including ordering materials and parts, coordinating statutory permissions for projects, and guaranteeing timely project completion.
* Assisting in the creation of comprehensive construction phase plans and supporting the Health & Safety policy by preparing risk assessments and method statements.
* Compiling job completion paperwork including photographic records and building and electrical completion records.
* Maintaining an up-to-date price book, sourcing job-specific prices, and monitoring and raising purchase orders.
* Contributing to accurate inventory management by ensuring correct stock levels across our yard, fleet, and warehouse.
* Supporting the Operations Manager with coordination and administration, to ensure the smooth running of our project work.
The Person:
The ideal candidate will have:
* Proven experience of working in an administrative or operational role within the construction or engineering industry, or similar.
* Technical prowess to handle various project-related tasks with precision and attention to detail.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
* Exceptional organisational skills, allowing you to multitask and manage priorities efficiently.
* IT literacy, including proficiency in the MS Office suite and the ability to learn new systems with ease.
* A hands-on mindset with an unwavering commitment to getting the job done.
* Outstanding time management skills, enabling you to meet challenging deadlines whilst maintaining high-quality work.
The Rewards:
