Express Recruitment are delighted to be working in partnership with a unique charitable organisation who are passionate about supporting survivors of abuse. Our client is looking to recruit an experienced Crisis Support Worker on a full-time basis, providing direct first line assistance to victims.
Due to the nature of the role, the ideal candidate must be enthusiastic about making a difference to people’s lives, and hold a current Enhanced DBS Check or be happy to process one.
Responsibilities
* Act as the first point of contact for victims
* Attend confidential hospital appointments with individuals
* Handle telephone and email enquiries within a suitable timeframe
* Provide advice and guidance for third party support when required
* Handle urgent on-call requests when required
Skills & Experience
* Previous experience of working with vulnerable children in a similar setting
* Happy to attend hospitals on a lone basis with individuals
* Available to work shifts between Monday-Sunday, and be available for on-call shifts when required
* Ability to handle a varied workload in a sensitive setting
* Empathetic and understanding attitude
