Overview
Partner the business to deliver effective HR service either by partnering a designated area of the business or partnering the leadership team to deliver HR projects at a Berry Flexibles wide level.
Responsibilities
1. Partner senior leaders in allocated area to develop and implement the site/business HR Operating Plan for the next 3 years.
2. Develop close working relationships with the site/business management teams to ensure that HR objectives and operating plans are closely aligned to business objectives.
3. Deliver a range of HR services, resolving issues independently and, where appropriate, recommending alternative courses of action to maximise service quality, efficiency and continuity.
4. Provide HR advice and support to operational managers to ensure compliance with business procedures, regulations, legislation and/or to influence operational decision making, as appropriate.
5. Develop and implement employee information and consultation strategy to support relationships with trade unions and work councils.
6. Talent management site/business area including recruitment, learning & development and succession planning.
7. Identify, scope and deliver site or group wide HR projects. Plan and organise workload priorities, determining individual and/or team objectives and activity scheduling in order to meet targets.
8. Manage HR team, where appropriate, allocating and prioritising their work to deliver a range of services.
9. Conduct analysis, present results and put forward recommendations through briefings, presentations or written reports to inform decision making.
10. Design and/or deliver a variety of improvements to maximise service quality, efficiency and continuity.
Qualifications
Essential:
1. BA in HRM or equivalent experience.
2. Experience of HR best practice in a manufacturing environment.
3. Good understanding of employment law.
4. Strong stakeholder management.
5. Experience of planning and progressing work activities within professional guidelines or organisational policy, applying initiative and independent judgement.
6. Analytical and problem solving capability.
7. Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills.
8. Proven people management skills.
9. Driving licence / able to travel within the UK.
Desirable:
1. Member of CIPD or equivalent professional body.
