The starting salary for this role is £52,047 per annum based on a 36-hour working week.
We are seeking a highly motivated Place Partnership Manager to identify and progress opportunities to drive economic growth in Surrey through a place-based approach to delivering economic outcomes. This role reports to the Head of Economy and Growth: Place Delivery.
This is a hybrid role with at least one day in Woodhatch (usually Tuesday) as well as regular attendance at meetings across Surrey, and occasionally further afield. The post holder is expected to spend at least 40% of their time working from SCC offices or working from other locations in Surrey to engage with partners and based on business need.

About the Role
We are seeking a high calibre Place Partnership Manager to join our Economy and Growth team to play an instrumental role in supporting our strategic priority to enable economic infrastructure to unlock growth through place-based approaches.
You will be responsible for overseeing the development and delivery of place-based economic projects and leading engagement with our partnerships to support the delivery of economic outcomes. This includes managing our existing capital investments and our interests in the Longcross Enterprise Zone site, as well as working with partners to develop future place-based economic growth initiatives.
You will build and maintain effective partnership arrangements with Surrey borough and districts, including coordination of the Surrey Place Leaders Group and input to Joint Infrastructure Group meetings, engaging with Surrey Business Improvement Districts and other partnership arrangements required to deliver on our ambition.
You will act as the point of contact to lead the Economy and Growth teams input to major infrastructure projects and government consultations in relation to place. This could include engagement and technical input to changes at Gatwick and Heathrow airports, input to local plan development and associated infrastructure planning, and national policy changes which hold the potential to contribute to our economic growth ambition.

* Collaborative, outcomes-focused and ambitious approach, proactively working with others to adopt horizontal ways of working and contribute to the delivery of economic outcomes and a One Council approach.
* An ability to oversee and deliver complex place-based projects through a strong partnership approach
* Experience in developing business cases for the delivery of infrastructure projects
* An ability to quickly grasp new subject areas, to provide technical input to infrastructure and place-based consultations and engagement activity
