What you will be doing An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer Within the Rotatives Manufacturing Services team. You will be expected to provide support to the Manufacturing Services Leader to ensure the organisation’s objectives and goals are delivered. The Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer is responsible for performing diagnostics, repairs and maintenance on manufacturing assets and all associated production equipment located in production or assembly & test facilities. Responsibilities: You will perform a range of routine, reactive, troubleshooting and preventive maintenance tasks across a broad range of manufacturing assets and production equipment across a plant, site or business, to ensure that manufacturing equipment is safe, available and capable for use when required, in addition you will : Utilise precision diagnostic instruments during maintenance. Analyse equipment data to inform and implement the most effective approach towards maintenance. Collect, organise, and analyse data in support of Key Performance Indicators for the Manufacturing Services Department as required. Read and interpret machinery and component drawings, circuit/logic diagrams & schematics, maintenance manuals, and parts catalogues to enable maintenance and diagnostics. Identify and recommend improvements to production equipment and maintenance procedures. Research and implement improvements. Suggest improvements to work instructions to optimise the electrical installation / maintenance strategy. Coordinate preventive and planned corrective maintenance activities with Production Staff, regularly communicating and interfacing with Production Leaders, Team Leaders, and Production Operators. Work alongside/support equipment OEM engineers as required. Consistently perform asset maintenance activities in order to ensure that equipment and facilities are safe and reliable to a high-performance standard. Support the effective induction of new team members and support cross-training of other team members. Utilise problem solving skills and ability to make sound recommendations based on judgement, training and previous experience. Able to process Work Orders and pull reports from the Computerised Maintenance Management System. Safely operate site specific equipment as required with appropriate training. Why Rolls-Royce? NVQ level 3 or equivalent in relevant time served apprenticeship. Previous experience of but not limited to Chemical process lines and/or fluid delivery systems. Experience in the installation of pipe work. Furnace and Tempering Equipment & ovens – Experience of temperature measurement and associated IO. Experience of machining and balancing equipment. Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic pneumatics principles and operation. Basic IT literacy. Understanding of local and regional HSE Standards and regulations.
